Full Job Description

CRM WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS is hiring asbestos abatement certified workers to help with asbestos abatement, general clean-up, and restoration efforts.

Requirements:
  • Current asbestos certification valid + license, as applicable
  • Current asbestos medical physical
  • Previous experience in asbestos abatement
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to hazardous material removal

License/Certification:

  • Asbestos Certification + License (Required)
  • Asbestos Medical Physical (Required)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform asbestos abatement tasks including the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials
  • Set up containment areas to prevent the spread of hazardous materials
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment to remove and dispose of hazardous materials
  • Follow proper procedures for handling, packaging, and transporting hazardous materials and all safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Clean and restore affected areas after abatement is complete

Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently remove drywall, flooring, and other damaged materials from buildings.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work site.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in demolition or construction is preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to work in an environment that changes quickly
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Skills Needed

Knowledge of basic construction techniques, and practices concerning asbestos, mold or lead-based paint removal or demolition and deconstruction operations; Must possess Asbestos Supervisor Certification; Ability to lift 50 lbs. unaided, stand and climb on ladders, roofs and uneven / unstable surfaces; Ability to work as an effective team member; Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships; Ability to complete projects in a timely manner; Effective communication, organization, problem-solving, initiative, and leadership skills.

Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in an outside environment or in industrial building areas. There is exposure to high equipment noise, chemical fumes, and potential electric and machinery hazards. Field conditions outdoors are varying weather conditions, with varying low to high equipment noise; walking on changing ground surfaces; and there is some driving in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for running asbestos projects by overseeing workers on job site
  • Participate with the training of newly hired employees: Following training guidelines and realizing the importance of a well-trained employee to the success of the company/team morale
  • Making sure State and Federal asbestos regulations are followed
  • Complete daily paperwork
  • Running air samples and maintaining chain of custody
  • Frequent checks inside containment to maintain quality of work and making sure production is on time
  • Visual inspections of work after completion for quality and done in according to regulations
  • Responsible for equipment and materials on the job site
  • Oversee disposal of asbestos-containing materials (Labeling and Doubling of materials is correct)
  • Ensure job sites are left clean of debris and trash and ready for the next subcontractors or reoccupation of homeowner
  • Manage time efficiently

  • Maintain shop (everything is put where it belongs)
